Bobcat MT55 Attachments and Adapters
Looking for attachments that fit a Bobcat MT55? The thing worth knowing before you spend money: the MT55 uses Bobcat's own MT-style mount, not the mini-universal mount that most of the mini skid steer attachment market is built around. That is why a search for MT55 attachments turns up so little — the selection built specifically for the Bobcat MT plate is genuinely small.
You have two ways out of that, and an adapter is almost always the cheaper one. Rather than hunting for the handful of attachments made for the MT mount, you fit an adapter once and then the MT55 can pick up the standard mini universal (Toro Dingo-style) attachments that everyone sells — or full-size skid steer attachments, which are the most common and usually the cheapest of all, including on the used and rental market.
Adapters for the MT55
The MT55 is one of the smaller machines in the MT range, so the practical limit is the machine, not the adapter. An adapter holds the attachment further out in front of the loader, which changes how the weight sits. Size the attachment and the load to what your MT55 is rated to lift rather than to what the adapter can bolt to.
Mounts, hitches and build-your-own
- Bobcat MT Mount Plate (Raw) — from $145
- Bobcat MT Trailer Hitch Receiver Mount — $320
- Bobcat MT Triple Hitch Attachment — $395
The raw mount plate is the DIY route: it carries the Bobcat MT mount geometry already cut and formed, so you weld your own bucket, frame or fixture to it and end up with an attachment that latches onto the MT55 like a factory one.
Before you buy: check your mount, not your model number
This is the single most common mistake on Bobcat minis. Some newer Bobcat mini loaders can be ordered from the factory with a mini-universal (Toro Dingo-style) plate instead of the Bobcat MT mount. Two machines with the same badge on the side can therefore take completely different attachments. The model number does not settle it — the plate on the front of the machine does.
If you are not certain which one you have, text a photo of your machine's mount to 815-200-9363 or email zach@smithcustomz.com and we will confirm fitment before you order.
